LA born & Alabama raised, Ari Bunnie is a mixed media creative that focuses on artwork depicting colorful characters that often represent darker messages. Winning her first art award as a child, and seeing it plastered on a billboard, sparked a flame to continue to push her art further. Her work ranges from digital art to mixed media, large format art on wood & canvas, to 3D installations. Her most recent collection, “Queen Appreciation Month”, shared fun, colorful imagery that touched on the love/hate relationship America has with black culture and black women. In 2019, her work was displayed at Art Share LA and The Getty 25th Anniversary Festival in August 2022. A mini mural of her work was also displayed across Crenshaw Blvd in collaboration with the Destination Crenshaw Project (2021-2022). During the 2024 holiday season one of her signature characters, Melanina, was featured in a Lamar Billboard campaign across 2 states and 5 counties. In 2025, the brand-new Science & Wellness Elementary School, Rose Avenue, in Oxnard, California was opened, permanently featuring five custom pieces of her artwork. She has worked with hard working Mom and Pop companies & multi-billion-dollar businesses, developing and curating products in many creative avenues including Fashion Design, Interior Design, Textiles, Marketing, Product Development, & Writing. A degreed scholar, she holds 3 diplomas including a degree in Product Development, Business Management, and Marketing.
